Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Policy

To protect our drivers and customers, all transport personnel shall:

• Wear mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety boots, reflective overalls or high-visibility vests, gloves, hard hats and safety glasses where required.
• Never smoke or use open flames near fuel loading or offloading areas.
• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections before every journey.
• Ensure fire extinguishers are fully serviced and available on every tanker.
• Carry spill response equipment, emergency contact lists and first aid kits in every fuel tanker.
• Ensure all tanker compartments are properly sealed before departure.
• Adhere to approved routes and speed limits.
• Avoid unnecessary stops while carrying fuel.
• Avoid night driving wherever reasonably practicable, except where specifically authorised by management or where customer requirements and risk assessments permit.
• Immediately report any accident, spill, attempted tampering or unsafe condition.

To ensure safe deliveries, T.E.I Oils requests customers to provide:

• Safe and unrestricted access for fuel tankers.
• A designated offloading area free from unnecessary traffic and pedestrians.
• A competent representative to witness seal verification and offloading.
• Appropriate fire extinguishers located near the offloading point.
• Adequate lighting for authorised deliveries conducted in low-light conditions.
• Clearly identified emergency assembly points.
• Safe ground conditions suitable for heavy fuel tankers.
• Immediate reporting of any unsafe conditions before offloading begins.

Where minimum safety requirements are not met, T.E.I Oils reserves the right to delay or suspend offloading until the area is made safe.

Before any fuel is discharged, our team will:

• Verify all security seal numbers.
• Inspect tanker compartments for signs of tampering.
• Conduct water detection tests.
• Take fuel samples where required.
• Verify quantities using dipstick and meter readings.
• Ensure all hoses and connections are secure.
• Confirm that spill response equipment is readily available.
• Stop operations immediately if any safety or quality concern is identified.

T.E.I Oils is committed to preventing pollution through responsible fuel handling. Our personnel shall:

• Prevent fuel from entering storm-water drains, rivers or surrounding land.
• Use drip trays and absorbent materials where appropriate.
• Contain and clean spills immediately.
• Dispose of contaminated materials responsibly.
• Record and investigate all spill incidents.

For significant spills, T.E.I Oils will activate its emergency response procedures, notify the relevant authorities where required, and cooperate with regulatory agencies, including the Environmental Management Agency (EMA), during spill management and remediation.

Every operational site and fuel tanker should maintain:

• Fully serviced fire extinguishers.
• First aid kits.
• Spill response kits.
• Emergency contact lists.
• Clearly defined emergency procedures.
• Incident reporting forms.

Regular emergency drills should be conducted to improve preparedness.

T.E.I Oils is committed to continuous training. Employees and contractors receive training in:

• Safe fuel handling.
• Fire prevention and firefighting.
• Spill response.
• First aid awareness.
• Hazard identification.
• Environmental protection.
• Defensive driving for fuel transport.
• Safe loading and offloading procedures.
• Customer service and professional conduct.

Forecourt staff are trained in fuel quality verification, emergency response, customer safety, pump operation, contamination prevention and safe dispensing procedures. Refresher training is conducted periodically to maintain competency.

Every employee has the authority and responsibility to stop any task that appears unsafe. No delivery, schedule or commercial objective is more important than protecting people, the environment and our customers' assets.

Safety is not simply a policy at T.E.I Oils — it is a condition of doing business.
